Relations In the Community
Carthage FBLA has a good name in the community and with the local businesses. We have established our good reputation by getting involved in service groups and cooperating with local businesses. We have participated in Meals on Wheels to help out our Over Sixty Center, Trick or Treat for Canned Goods to help the Salvation Army and we delivered gift bags to the nursing home residents to help cheer up the residents for Christmas. Part of our reputation is due to the relationship we have with our local newspaper and television station. They have helped us advertise our fundraisers, Youth Empowerment Project and American Enterprise Project. The newspaper wrote a front page article on how we were giving $4,000 in grants to help the youth of the community. We received another front page article and television coverage on the American Enterprise project, which we taught fourth graders about business and economics by aiding them in forming their own business and selling their product. The community's opinion of Carthage FBLA is very good and we are proud that we have been able to gain the support of such important people in our community.
