'FBLA's Halloween Canned Goods Event'

"On Tuesday, Oct. 30, Carthage High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) took to the streets of Carthage in costume.
These students were Trick-or-Treating for canned goods. FBLA has been holding this annual event for many years."

'Haunted gingerbread houses teach economic concepts'

"We've heard of gingerbread houses around Christmas and haunted houses around Halloween.
Mark Twain Elementary fourth grade students spent the past week using gingerbread haunted houses to learn the concepts of American free enterprise from students in the Carthage High School Future Business Leaders of America, of FBLA club."

"Rooting for Joplin is an organization founded by Missouri FBLA and PBL chapters to reforest properties affected by the tornado. With the Carthage chapter's fundraising efforts, they were able to donate $850 to help Joplin residents."
