Pleasant Valley Volunteer Form

Greetings from all of us at Pleasant Valley Elementary School,

Welcome to our website! The goal of our website is for our parents, students, and any other internet surfer to become informed about the awesome things that are going on at our school.

Our school has a long-standing tradition of school pride and academic excellence, because our staff is dedicated to providing a sound education for every child entrusted to our care.  Our students receive an individualized educational experience through our interactive teaching strategies and the research-based instructional tools that we use such as EnVision Math, our interactive Science program, and our Houghton-Mifflin reading series, Journeys. Our students are assessed frequently and we use that assessment data to change how we teach our students so that they are getting the best education for them.

The staff at Pleasant Valley will promote character development in our school through our PeaceBuilder time and Schoolwide Behavioral Expectations.  With the support of parents and the community, we provide educational opportunities for all students so they may grow to be successful, productive, and independent citizens.  After all, our children are our future!

The faculty and staff of Pleasant Valley are dedicated to providing the best education possible to the students of Pleasant Valley School.  “Have a great day, you’re the best, and that’s why it’s great to be at Pleasant Valley!

Our Mission
Our Behavioral Expectations Statement

The mission of Pleasant Valley Elementary School is to provide our students with a quality, individualized education focused on creating lifelong learners through creative problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and effective communication.  We teach our students to learn, process, and apply information in a positive environment so they can become positive contributors to our society.

The purpose of Pleasant Valley’s school-wide discipline plan is to create a safe and positive learning environment where students can do their best work out of respect for one another.
