We at the Carthage Technical R-9 School District believe it is our responsibility to provide the context for people to create a compelling future. We know tomorrow eventually becomes the present and then the past. The Carthage R-9 School District wants to shape the future by creating opportunities for individuals to continue their education. That is why we offer Adult Education Courses every semester. The Carthage R-9 School District and Carthage Technical Center is proud to offer a wide selection of courses in the Adult Education Field. All courses focus to meet the needs of individuals interested in continuing their education, regardless of the reason. That is why we offer courses that educate individuals for future jobs, expand the skills of those presently employed, improve basic life skills, financial courses for monetary security, and recreation. Furthermore, this district is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Guidelines About Adult Courses: All courses will be held at the Carthage Technical Center, 609 S. River Street, unless otherwise noted in the description. Most courses require ten (10) enrollees per course. Applications will be accepted in the order received and courses will be closed after the maximum number of students for each had been enrolled. If applications have been received after a course have been closed or if an insufficient number register for a course, checks will be returned to the senders. The deadline for enrollment and payment of fees is two working days prior to the first class meeting. If a course is held, NO TUITION REFUNDS will be made after the first class meeting. |

Things to know and remember: Register Early Sometimes excellent courses are canceled because of insufficient enrollment, don’t wait until it’s too late! Try to register at least one week before the class is scheduled to begin. Confirmation Policy Once you are registered no confirmation will be sent to you. You may call the CTC at (417) 359-7026 to confirm. Refund Policy A refund of the class fee paid will be made for each class dropped: request for a refund must be made no later than two (2) working days prior to the beginning of the class. A full refund of the class fee paid will be made if a class is canceled by the Tech Center. Inclement Weather Evening classes held at any Carthage R-9 School District cancels day classes. Classes are canceled by the Administration. Watch the local TV Stations or listen to the local radio station.
